From the eBay auction for this bicycle, posted here for later translation into VeloBase data-points:
This eighties something (best guess) Miyata 310 is in excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. It would appear that the bicycle has seen little use and careful storage. The bike is ready to ride, but would certainly benefit from some more cleaning.
The Miyata’s measurements are:
Seat Tube(c-c): 58cm
Top Tube(c-c): 56cm
Stand Over Height(approx): 84cm (33”)
Chain Stay(c-fit): 42cm
Wheel Base(approx): 103cm
Drop Space: 125mm
The Miyata frame set displays very clean workmanship. Miyata’s own triple butted chrome moly tubing forms the basis for this lovely old road bicycle's frame. The forged drops, fitted with axle positioners, are cleanly installed and, once again, show evidence of little use. “Manga Light” forks complete the quality frame set package.
The workmanship, around the lugs, is very good and the concave seat stay tops add even more visual appeal to an already appealing bicycle. The soft pastel aqua color, coupled with the white head tube, add to the quality and vintage appeal of this great old bike.
The component grouppo includes some pretty impressive stuff. The Shimano “Golden Arrow transmission, all but unblemished, leads the way. A gorgeous, and near perfect, Signature dual ring crank set drives a wide range six gear cog set, offering a wide and very useable range of gears.
Stopping chores are easily handled with the Shimano quick release side pull callipers, actuated by a very nice set of slotted Shimano levers. The hoods are still good. The levers are mounted on a very clean set of Sakae “Signature” handlebars, offering a nice match to the crank set.
Sealed alloy hubs, front and back, are laced to beautiful UKAI alloy/anodized rims |
