General Information
As stated by Gizmologist:

"...Campagnolo's first cotterless version [is] from 1958.  It is unique in that it has "thinner" arms, a raised area around the pedal hole and the back side of the pedal hole has a small chrome-plated cap pressed in.  The 1959 through 1961 cranks had thicker arms, had the raised area at the pedal hole but had no cap on the back.  All post 1962 cranks came without the raised area at the pedal hole.  Cranks from 1966 on had a bcd of 144, down from the original 151 bcd.  After 1970 the cranks  had a date code stamped on their back side."

Details:   First generation Campagnolo Record group.  This group is later called the Nuovo Record group when the Nuovo Record rear derailleur is introduced.  Some people however call Nuovo Record group simply 'Record' throughout the time frame of the introduction of the Record derailleur all the way through the mid 1980's when the Nuovo Record group production is ended.
