The frame you see here arrived at PBVM on March 23, 2012. It was found in a barn in German Valley, Illinois and is a NOS (new old stock) frame set from 1989. The Naper Cycle on the top tube refers to Naperville Cyclery, a bicycle retail store that closed in 1988. Apparently this frame belonged to the owner of the store at one time and may have been the store display frame for the PICS program at that time. After the store closed, the store owner stored everything in a steel barn in German Valley Illinois until it was discovered in early March 2012. |
