This is my 1992 Bob Jackson Grand Prix, fresh back from BJ after a refurb. I bought this as an off-the-peg frame and forks in early 1992. It is standard except that I specified the addition of mudguard eyes (though I have never actually fitted mudguards). It is 21.5", 73 degree parallel, built in Reynolds 531C tubing. Paint scheme is BJ 'golden yellow' enamel. It was originally finished in BJ 'bright yellow' enamel, but I decided to tone it down a bit. It is now fitted with BJ's own metal headbadge, a relatively new option from Bob Jackson. The original headbadge was a transfer, so this feature is not period authentic. This frame spent most of its 'working' life fitted with a mixture of Campag Record/Campag Athena and Shimano 600/Ultegra components. It is now rebuilt with a full 1992 Shimano 600/Ultegra 'tricolour' groupset (64** series), which was the spec offered at the time by BJ for this model when sold as a complete off-the-peg bike. Tyres, however, are modern (my enthusiasm for authenticity does not extend to having frequent punctures). And, yes, I do realise the 60mm tyre valves - fitted pro tem - are OTT.
