Serier has built this frameset with Reynolds 531SL tubes. He has left the end of the tubes open. Thus the frames have good ventilation properties. There was also a hole in the bottom bracket at the lowest point for draining water. Under the bracket the shifting cables run through very neat engraved slots. Most people think that Serier used short micrfusione lugs, but they were very neatly filed down steel plate lugs. His soldering job was immaculate, using low meltingpoint silver solder.
