Eddy Merckx rode frames during his career built by a number of builders such as Masi, Colnago, and De Rosa. After his retirement from cycling Merckx set up his own frame manufacturing business with the guidance and help of Ugo DeRosa where they turned out nicely crafted machines. There are also a number of Molteni Merckx branded frames which were produced by Falcon in England.
