General Information
3G wheel with 3 profiled spokes for front or rear, with interchangeable cartridge-hubs. It was the hot talking point at the Barcelona Olympic Games with Chris Boardman's ride
Cartridges available for both front and rear. Rear as cassette, screw-on block and fixed sprocket. Cartridge held in place by a lock ring and secured against turning by two steel dowels. Screw on block-type cartridge pictured together with dowels, lock ring and valve extension originally supplied with wheel.

 Mavic is best known for its lightweight aluminum rims and complete wheels, which they continue to produce today.  They also produced a full range of drive train components in the past.  Mavic made a failed attempt to popularize an electronic shifting system in the early 90's.
