General Information
The S5 Super Competition appears in Stronglight product literature for 1973 (where it was noted as 'new'), 1974, 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1980. It appears as the S7 in the Stronglight 1982 catalog, and the S7 does not appear in the 1984 catalog. The S7 has rounded exteriors on the cups, whereas the S5 is angular. S5 headsets were made in a polished chrome finish, also a rare satin chrome finish that looks like alloy. The metric M25x1.0 headsets came with a 27.0mm crown race while the 1" - 24 TPI BSC version had a 26.5mm crown race.
