The freewheel vice is used to disassemble a freewheel. The large sprocket is secured by the vice and a chainwhip is used to remove the smaller sprocket, allowing the replacement of worn or damaged individual sprockets.
This tool was found at the bottom of my tool box and identified with the help of Mark Bulgier at the Classic Rendezvous google group.
Marked "CyclePro (R) USA", bar is 25mm x 7.5mm x 30cm long with 6mm wide slot that starts 58mm from the end and is 105mm long (c-c) Pegs are 12.5mm diameter x 15mm with a groove. The peg in the slot has a knurled nut on the back side that allows repositioning along the slot.
